Information
The Tortoise Centre is profiled in conservation of both tortoise species and their habitats and it is aimed at giving information for all aspects of their life history, conservation status and protection measures in Bulgaria and abroad. Visitor get acquainted with the biodiversity, natural, historical and cultural heritage of Black Sea region.

Green education
The Tortoise Centre has developed education programs for children – 1-day or weekend courses held at the Centre and/or in the field, and green school sessions lasting up to 9 days. University-educated zoology students are welcome to participate in our activities and daily work, whether as volunteers or to carry out their practicum, or develop their MSc thesis. We invite them to utilize our specialized equipment and database.

Green tourism
The Tortoise Centre offers escorted tourist packages for two to nine days. By prior arrangement, for groups of up to 6 people we can organize a package tour including transportation to the Tortoise Centre from any location on the Bulgarian coast and back. This includes accommodation, meals, guide, and presentations. Tour guides fluent in English, Bulgarian and Russian will introduce you to the four native Bulgarian chelonian species, and to some non-native ones. You may be able to participate in our tortoise radio-tracking project according to its schedule, and the weather.

Accomodation
The Tortoise Centre has two simple air-conditioned double rooms on the first floor overlooking Eminska Mountain and the sea. A shared bathroom is on the ground floor. There is also a double eco-guestroom, made of stone, wood and clay equipped with a bathroom. A small fully-equipped kitchenette is available for self-catering. It is also possible to camp on an adjacent meadow. Free Wi-Fi is available everywhere. The Centre offers a meeting room equipped with audio and video equipment, suitable for events and workshops, which can accommodate up to 16 delegates. Two large terraces provide a unique opportunity for tortoise observation and bird watching. Access is trouble-free, with dedicated parking and ramp access. The terraces look out onto woodlands and Black Sea. Local wildlife includes jackal, badger, hare, and deer among others. Enjoy the tranquility and the company of tortoises, and become one with nature.
