Along with the tortoise conservation, breeding and rehabilitation, the centre is also an eco – facility providing interpretive information about the tortoises and herpetological fauna. We actively work for popularization of the problems of tortoise conservation and their habitats, carry out green education and information initiatives, distribute sustainable forms of local development and means of livelihood, carry out voluntary activities. We encourage connections with wild nature through eco-tourist programs and raise awareness of the pristine environment of Eminska Mountain where the centre is located. The centre offers seven programs for its visitors. Our aim is to provide opportunities for connecting to these ancient reptiles, coming to know it through experience and understanding and moving on with a sense of joy and discovery of one’s own ecological identity.
