Member of the IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group (TFTSG), Manager of Gea Chelonia Foundation. Experienced in research in the field of tortoise biology and ecology; conservation activities in the region of Eminska Mountain; keeping and breeding various chelonian species; creating and maintaining a data base with GIS methodology; scientific studies of the natural history of both species of tortoises in captivity.

Long term plans for the future: Chelonian conservation and research activities, restoring and protecting habitats, raising public awareness and involving volunteers and local authorities in tortoise conservation, sustainable use and other nature-related issues. Author of 4 publications.



European Programmes and Youth Activities expert at Gea Chelonia Foundation. Specialized in Ecology at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Faculty of Biology. Experience in preparation and implementation of European project proposals; Participation in the project action, Identifying important herpetological areas of European significance in Bulgaria for the purposes of Natura 2000 (2005); Volunteer in Rufford Small Grants Project, Decrease of the negative impact upon the populations of small animal species of the international road E-79 in the section of the Tissata Reserve, South-western Bulgaria.
